About Salcombe New London Light Non-Alcoholic Gin
Salcombe Distilling Company has sincere respect for the sea. The admiration for this natural element goes a long way and is almost on par with Santiago’s from the Old Man and the Sea. Creating exceptional gin—both alcoholic and zero proof—Salcombe waterside distillery is one of the world’s only distilleries to be directly reachable by boat. Created by two buddies intertwined by their love of gin and sailing, they formed their gin business in 2014 and never looked back. Their New London Light collection is a brave voyage into the non-alcoholic universe, led by their quest for the perfect flavor and pairing. First Light Gin was launched in 2016 and represents the genesis of this brave collection. This non-alcoholic gin is bold and refreshing and combines ginger, juniper, and orange. An extra benefit is undoubtedly the amount of care given to the ocean environment, as every bottle sold contributes a 1% profit donation to the Marine Conservation Society to help preserve delicate ocean habitats.

About Salcombe Gin
Salcombe is a town in southwest England. While it’s mostly known as a tourist spot today, it has a rich history that involves smugglers and fishermen. In the 19th century, it was a bustling port town that played a large role in fruit trade and was known for its “Salcombe Fruiters”, small schooners that were built for speed ― a crucial factor in the transportation of fresh fruit. Steamships took over the fruit trade at the turn of the century and it wasn’t until 1951 that sailboats came back in full force with the founding of the Island Cruising Club. It’s there that Salcombe Gin co-founders first met in 1995. The pair would end each day of sailing with a gin & tonic at the Salcombe Yacht Club, eventually finding a common interest in the distilling industry. It was in 2014 that the idea took the form of the Salcombe Distilling Co.
